Deputy Executive Director & Chief of Staff.

KELVIN O. HOWELL JR., BPS AND AA is an advocate and ambassador for equality with particularly championing the rights of people of color, homeless youth, gender-non-conforming, non-binary and transgender Individuals, I know first-hand navigating the world as an individual mention here comes with many unique challenges. On top of the organic difficulties that cut across all genders, sexual orientations, races, ethnicities, cultures, family compositions, ages, languages, classes, economic levels, and educational levels. As a former client receiving services from many human and social services, I pride myself on ethics and standards now as a human and social services practitioner, change agent and leader. Rising and overcoming various systematic oppression, prejudices, stereotypes, discrimination, many other isms, Kelvin continuously uses his embodied survival strategies, life experiences, education, and skills to build our human and social justice movement and the many fights within.

TransNewYork’s mission is to educate, empower, and enhance the lives of Transgender, Gender Non-conforming and Non-binary Individuals globally through advocacy, community visibility, human and social services, advance knowledge, and lifelong learning development of self.

Odyssey Teen Camp

TransNewYork is pleased to announce that have entered into a Stratiegic Alliance with Odyssey Teen Camp.

Odyssey Teen Camp is a safe environment for all kids to be exactly who they are, in an inclusive community that fully embraces diversity!

New York Coming Out 

Coming again in 2021

TransNewYork will be hosting the 2nd bi-annual New York Coming Out, an international transgender conference in New York, NY! New York Coming Out welcomes all individuals within the transgender spectrum, along with their families, friends, and loved ones. Come celebrate your uniqueness within the transgender community and learn, inspire, and make an impact on the lives of others!
